The Jeep Cherokee's base engine is a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder that puts out 180 horsepower. There is a V6 available that produces 271 horsepower and stronger off-the-line acceleration, plus more passing power when driving at high speeds. If you're looking for more torque, consider the 270-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Each Cherokee engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep is known for producing reliable off-road vehicles, and the Cherokee is no exception. The Trailhawk trim is the most capable off-roader with its all-terrain tires, Active Drive Lock four-wheel-drive system, and mechanical locking differential. When equipped for heavy towing, this SUV can tow up to 4,500 pounds—the highest capacity in its class.

Stylish and Purposeful Interior
The Cherokee is loaded with high-quality materials and soft-touch surfaces and seats five people. Average-height adults have plenty of legroom and space in the vehicle's second row. Other standard features include a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera. An upgrade to the Jeep Active Drive I four-wheel-drive system is optional.

Latitude Plus
The Latitude Plus builds off the previous model, adding upscale comfort features to keep you comfortable no matter the conditions you're driving in. This model adds cloth and vinyl upholstery, fog lights, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated front seats and steering wheel. Enhance your drive with two rear USB ports, an additional front USB port, proximity keyless entry, and remote start that are also included.

The Jeep Active Drive I four-wheel-drive system is available, in addition to the Sun and Sound Group package. This package adds a nine-speaker Alpine premium stereo and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Altitude

The Altitude model is based on the Latitude Plus model but turns heads with its bold and unique styling. This limited-edition model features gloss-black exterior upgrades (on the grille and wheels) and black accent stitching. If you're into luxury, you'll enjoy the upgraded premium leather-wrapped steering wheel complete controls for hands-free activation, audio, and the driver information display.

Latitude Lux
The Latitude Lux is exactly what it sounds like: luxurious. This trim level adds Nappa leather upholstery, a V6 engine, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. Available upgrades include the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, Jeep Active Drive I, and Jeep Active Drive II.

You can add the Sun and Sound Group as well as the Comfort and Convenience Group.
The latter offers several luxuries, including a household-style power outlet, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a 7-inch instrument cluster display.

Limited
The Limited trim gains automatic high-beam headlights, a standard power liftgate, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display. Memory settings for the driver's seat and outside mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are also standard.

Trailhawk

This model also adds exclusive Trailhawk design elements, a rear skid plate, off-road suspension, and all-terrain tires. High-Altitude
