The New 2025 Ram 1500

It's bittersweet, but the famous HEMI engine that once powered the RAM will no longer be doing so. But don't worry! There are still three available engine options for this year that make up for it. The closest you'll get would be the High Output Hurricane twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine with 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque.

This is a fine-tuned version of the brand-new Hurricane engine, which is the middle ground. The regular Hurricane engine gives you 420 hp and 469 lb-ft for a max tow rating of 11,550 lbs. The lower trims have a 3.6L Pentastar V6 with eTorque that generates 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum tow rating of 8,110 pounds.

In recent years, we've seen that comfort has become one of the main priorities for many car buyers. Yes, they still want power, but comfort often takes precedence. Ram is listening and has included features like 20-way power-adjustable, massaging seats.

Attention to detail is found in the real wood and carbon fiber accents. It also has noise-canceling features throughout the cabin. The Ram 1500 has 132 cubic feet of passenger volume. There are also clever storage options like the in-floor bins.

The 2025 Ram 1500 has more than 100 standard and available safety and security features. All the basics you've come to expect but also fancy features like Hands-Free Active Driving Assist. There are also features made especially for towing since this is, after all, a workhorse.

The Tradesman is the most affordable option and has all the basic features. It comes with a 3.6L V6. There's also a High Fuel Efficiency variant, which means it is fine-tuned to get the best mpg possible.

Even though it is the base model, it still comes with a lot of useful features like automatic headlights and 18-Inch Steel Painted Wheels. You'll also get Uconnect 5 with 8.4-Inch Touch Screen Display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Big Horn is the next step up. Go for the Big Horn Equipment Packages to add features found on higher trim levels, like the heated seats and a larger touchscreen Display.

On the outside, it gets LED Front Fog Lamps, a Bright Front Bumper, and rear bumpers. Of course, you'll also find the "Big Horn" Badge. The Rear 60/40 Folding Seat is an important feature in this trim.

The Warlock adds functionality, like the 2nd-Row In-Floor Storage Bins. This is also the first trim level with the Hurricane turbo engine. It adds new Front and Rear Rubber Floor Mats by Mopar.

For off-roading, you get a lifted suspension, skid plates, and tow hooks. It also comes with an auxiliary battery and 400W inverter.

The Laramie brings a first taste of what kind of luxury this truck can offer. First, you now have the Uconnect 5 Nav with a 12.0-inch Touch Screen Display. You also get an 8-Way Power Adjustable Front Passenger Seat with a 2-Way Power Lumbar Adjustable Driver Seat. Both front and second-row seats are heated, and the front seats are ventilated.

The Rebel is the off-roading beast. You'll find Off-Road Info Pages on your new and improved digital cluster with a 12-inch TFT color display. Outside has touches like Black Door Handles and Black Tailgate Handles. It rides on 18-inch Painted Mid-Gloss Black Wheels. It also has a Sport Performance Hood.

The RHO is more performance oriented. You get High-Performance Brakes and a Performance Hood. For style, there's an Accent-Color Tailgate Handle.

Inside, you get a bright pedal kit and a leather-trimmed flat-bottom steering wheel. We should also mention that this trim finally introduces the most powerful engine option: the Hurricane High Output engine.

The Limited is an exclusive trim level that brings us near the top of the line. It has Power Tailgate and Spray-In Bedliner by Mopar. Plus, you get power-deployable running boards and the RamBox cargo management system.

You'll love the premium quilted leather bucket seats with massaging features and ventilated rear seats. There's also a dual charging pad and 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and a dual-pane sunroof.

The Limited Longhorn is a style change for the Limited. It has many of the same features but visually it's different. You get premium filigree leather seats, bison brown interior colors, and unique exterior badging.

The Tungsten is entirely new. 2025 is the first time we see a Tungsten 1500. Since it's at the top of the lineup, naturally, it comes with a high hurricane output. It rides on 22-inch polished/painted wheels. Inside, you get 20-way adjustable heated/massaging seats. The large 14.4-inch touchscreen works with the premium 23-speaker sound.

That's not all - there's also a Head-Up Display and Digital Rear-View Mirror. Digital Key also makes its debut here. You even get a jeweled Rotary-Shifter and Red Key Fob.

How many miles can a Ram 1500 go on a full tank?

It depends on the engine and how you drive. The base engine has a 23-gallon fuel tank and goes 20 miles per gallon in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The base Hurricane engine has a 26-gallon fuel tank and does 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The High Output variant does 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway but has a larger fuel tank with 33 gallons.
